Prayer

We believe that prayer is simply how we communicate with God, we talk to him and he listens to us but also we listen as God talks to us.  We are able to communicate with God in prayer through the power of the Holy Spirit and  we believe that Jesus is available at the right hand of God the father in heaven listening to us.

Prayer can happen anywhere anytime and is as natural to us as breathing however it is also good to get together with others and pray.  During all our Sunday services prayers are led from the front, these will include prayers of thanks and intercessions (praying for others).  We love to pray for the needs of the people in our community and parish as well as the needs and concerns of our country and our world.  If there is something you would like prayer for then please get in touch with us we'd love to pray for you.

Planning your Visit

A Warm Hello

The following information is specifically for those planning a visit, so that you know, beforehand, what to expect on a Sunday morning.

Where and When

We meet at the Church Building (details here) for our Sunday Service starting at 9.15am. For your first visit, we recommend arriving 10-15 minutes early to ensure you get a parking space and find somewhere to sit before the service begins. When you arrive, you should be greeted by someone on our Welcome Team.

We serve tea, coffee and biscuits after the service. It is a great way to meet people, or simply take time to find your bearings. All refreshments are free.

Accessibility: There is wheelchair access, and a sound loop for anyone who needs it. Please let one of the Welcome Team know on your arrival and they will help you to get set up.

Our Sunday Service

The service begins at 9.15am with a warm welcome from one of our team members. During our services we will sing songs or hymns, pray some prayers, listen to the Bible, hear a sermon and pray for the world.  We also receive Holy Communion, usually every other week.

What about my children?

Children are welcome at all our services.  Although we don't have specific groups for children during the morning service, they are always welcome and can often be found getting involved.  We also have a room at the back with toys and craft materials for children to use.

Our main service which caters for children happens every Sunday afternoon at 4pm up in the hall at Holy Trinity, Hoghton.  Everyone is welcome at 4forAll.  This is a very informal service with songs, talking, prayers and crafts.

Getting Connected

Small Groups

While Sundays are a great way to meet new people, it is often in smaller gatherings that you can really get to know someone. Being part of one of our small groups allows you to make new friends, share together and support each other. We have a variety of groups that meet throughout the week, in the evenings. Check out Small Groups and see if there’s one that you could join, or we can put you in touch with a small group leader who will be more than happy to invite you along to their group
